We had heard about the chicken so we headed over Saturday. We were able to find it in spite of the construction and we are really glad we did! The chicken was hot and delicious, perfectly cooked and the fries were amazing. Not many places have the steak fries as a side! The best part is we fed 12 adults and 9 kids for WAY less than what we would have paid anywhere else! Service was not fast but hey they cook to order! Well worth the wait, next time we will call ahead.
Had to navigate the construction but the fresh fried shrimp was well worth the hassle......and I had a taco just because they are awesome!
Why do i keep going to fried food places! well if its good its good and Johnny's is a good spot to pick up some seafood, not too crazy about their coleslaw so you can substitute for something else which is not bad. The location it self is a bit hard to find because its hiding and not in the open like other places, so make sure you have your GPS on to find this place! The staff are really friendly and greet you with a smile, their oysters are amazing! and would have to say just about the best when it comes to finding something in the North side of corpus. Overall, i know am coming back to order some more from here.
My first review. The place is not the most sanitized looking place in corpus after reading the reviews I had to try they have a variety of items on the menu from fish and shrimp to hamburgers and chili fries I opted for the cheeseburger basket for 5.48 and I have to say I will definitely be going back that had to be one of the best hamburgers I've eaten in a long time "BEST BURGER JOINT" food takes awhile but definitely worth the wait
